Next weekend is the MEN’S CONFERENCE in Estes Park. If you haven’t registered but would like to go (or if you’d like information), please call 970–691-5976.

Because the men will be out of town, Friday night (2–19) will be an ALL WOMEN’S ROCK at 7:24 in the auditorium at Summitview Community Church (1601 W. Drake).

Women’s Christmas Gala

The Christmas Gala will be Saturday December 5 starting at 6:30pm.

The theme this year will be “Jesus, Light of the World.” Tickets are $7.

Tickets must be purchased by December 1st.

You can purchase tickets:

–During office hours at Summitview’s front office through December 1st

This is an excellent opportunity to invite friends and neighbors to come and enjoy teaching, fellowship, and after-dinner refreshments.

Because the Summitview building is hosting a CMA event at the same time as the Rock, it would be greatly appreciated if Rock attenders would PARK IN THE NORTH PARKING LOT (across the street) rather than the parking lot by the building. The closer parking will be reserved for people attending the CMA concert. Thank you!

What is the deal with all the flyers and shirts that say ‘Religion is Lie’?

Reading the New Testament, we see that Jesus was surprisingly the harshest not with notorious “sinners” but with the highly esteemed religious Pharisees of the time.

We define religion as a man made system of rules, beliefs and traditions whereby humans make themselves acceptable to God and earn their way into heaven.

Do you believe having religion will earn you heaven? If so, you have believed a lie. Come to the Rock at Johnson Hall at 7:24 this Friday, and find out why God says ‘Religion is a Lie’.

This week, on Thursday and Friday, as many Rockers as possible should wear their Religion is a Lie t-shirts to arouse conversations and begin sharing about this Friday at the Rock in Johnson Hall when John Larsen will be sharing on it. If you’re interested in standing on a milk carton on Thursday or Friday for some period of time, just email nathan@rockrevolution.com and say what day and time you’re available!

Rock Retreat

The Rock Retreat is coming up! We’ll be heading to the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park October 16–18. Bill Young will be speaking on “The Core: It’s What’s Burning on the Inside.”

REGISTRATION FORMS + a $20 deposit will be DUE at the Rock THIS FRIDAY (October 2). Total cost ($75) will be due upon arrival at the retreat. You can get a registration form to fill out at the Rock or click here to print it.

Scholarships are available, so don’t let a lack of money get in the way of coming!

Every December our association of churches (Great Commission Association of Churches) puts on a conference that gathers us all together, with teachings through the word, worship, and an overall time to seek after Jesus. Check out this promo video, and signup on the website! As Summitview/the Rock, we’re shooting for the Hampton Inn as our place of stay, but you’re free to lodge wherever you choose.
